KFS Scholarship for Mid-Maine Technical Center

ScholarshipGraduateKennebec Federal Savings is currently accepting applications for college scholarships to be awarded this spring.  The purpose of the KFS Scholarship Program to provide financial assistance to high school seniors in the greater Waterville area, who plan to attend a college, university, or technical school beginning in the fall of this year.  

For 2018, up to six (6) scholarships between $500 - $1,000 will be awarded by Kennebec Federal Savings.

Each scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient's college at the completion of the first semester of the recipient's freshman year, providing he/she has attained a GPA of 2.5 or greater and continues his/her formal education in the second semester.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, candidate must:

  • Reside within the KFS Service Area (generally a 20 mile radius of Waterville or a customer of KFS as of the scholarship program launch date for the current year) and be receiving their high school diploma in Spring 2018. 
  • Have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher and be accepted as a full-time student in a two or four year degree program beginning in 2018; OR
  • Attend Mid Maine Technical Center, have a GPA of 3.3 of higher for each grading period in their MMTC course of study, and be accepted as a full-time student at a college beginning in 2018 in the field in which they studied at MMTC.
  • The candidate must be a legal Maine Resident.

Employees and directors of Kennebec Federal Savings and their relatives are not eligible.

How to Apply

  • Complete and sign the application. Parent or legal guardian must also sign the application if applicant is under 18 years of age.
  • Attach an official copy of your high school transcript.  If an MMTC student, transcript must show your MMTC GPA for each grading period.
  • Attach a copy of the letter of acceptance from the college you will be attending.
  • The deadline for submitting the application is April 20, 2018. Mail or deliver to:
