Mobile Deposit for Personal Banking

Kennebec Federal Savings announced the availability of mobile deposit for consumers in December 2015.  Mobile deposit is available through the KFS TouchBanking Mobile app. If you are already a Mobile Banking personal customer, Mobile Deposit will appear as an option in the Mobile Banking app.  If you have not yet signed up for Mobile Banking, call a KFS customer service representative at 873-5151 for assistance, or self-enroll from within Online Banking by going to the "Options" menu.

Control Your Debit Card from Anywhere

CardValetTM helps you manage your finances by controlling how, when, and where your cards are used.   With CardValet, you can turn your card "On" or "Off" through your mobile device.  You can set spending limits and geographic limits, and more.  CardValet is a free service available to any KFS Debit Card customer.  Download the CardValet app on your phone from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.  Call a KFS customer service representative at 873-5151 for more information.

2015 KFS College Scholarship Winners Announced

KFS is pleased  to announce the recipients of four $1,000 KFS college scholarships!

  • CASSIDY BOWDEN of Erskine Academy will study Forensic Science at Bay Path University.
  • NATALIE CORRIGAN of Messalonskee High School will study Elementary Education at University of Maine at Farmington. 
  • KILEY DRUMMOND of Erskine Academy will study Animal Science at University of New Hampshire.
  • ALYSSA HIGBIE of Lawrence High School will study Elementary Education at University of Maine at Farmington.

KFS named as one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in Maine

KFS was recently named one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in Maine. This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Maine, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.  Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Maine. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.

KFS will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Maine awards ceremony on October 8 and will be profiled in a special publication by Mainebiz. The final rankings will be announced at the event.

The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Maine State Council and Best Companies Group. Partners endorsing the program include: Mainebiz, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and Maine HR Convention.

JESSE ENOS of Messalonskee High School will attend University of Maine at Farmington to study Secondary Education/Chemistry.
